Project overview

Designing the storefront and owning what happens after launch

Qhareed is a live e-commerce brand I co-manage with Henna. My responsibilities span the Shopify customer experience, visual presentation, product listings, merchandising, and ongoing store operations. I designed the storefront and continue to maintain it as the collection evolves.

Challenge & goals

Making a tactile, personal product easier to choose online

The store needed to communicate craftsmanship, comfort, colour, and customization while reducing the uncertainty of buying bridal footwear without seeing it in person.

Core challenge

Make handcrafted footwear feel trustworthy, personal, and easy to understand.

The solution needed clear products, meaningful customer proof, and a Shopify system that remained manageable as the collection evolved.

Design for confidence before conversion.
01 · CLARITYExplain the value quickly

Lead with customization, bridal comfort, and handcrafted detail.

02 · DISCOVERYMake browsing intuitive

Organize products around styles, colours, and strong imagery.

03 · TRUSTReduce uncertainty

Use reviews, real weddings, and clear product information.

Design decisions

Every screen has a specific job

Product-led merchandising supports discovery, while customer-led storytelling provides reassurance.

Operational ownership

The work continues after the design is approved

I continue to manage the live store across content, commerce, presentation, and brand consistency.

Custom-order story

From a personal idea to editorial recognition

A custom celestial pair moved from a bride’s idea to visual direction, handcrafted execution, and a feature in Issue 62 of Rock n Roll Bride.

Listen: understand the bride’s theme and needs.
Visualize: translate the idea into a design direction.
Craft: coordinate embroidery and finishing.
